Changes FAQs
When a change is rejected, the record will transition to the Rejected stage, indicating that no further action will be taken based on the current details of the change.
A champion of a change is a selected person from your organization who actively supports and advocates for a change initiative.
When a problem is reported, it can be the catalyst for a change proposal. Once an issue is identified, you can create a change request within the Changes app and directly link it to the identified problem.
For a change to be moved to the Approved stage you should:
- Submit a change request for approval
- Have the change get reviewed by responsible approvers
- The approver can either approve or reject the request. If approved, it will be moved to the Approved stage.
When changes are at a standstill, they can be managed by placing them in the Hold stage. This stage is used when progress on the change is paused or when modifications to the original plan are required. By categorizing the change in the Hold stage, your team can clearly understand that the change is temporarily halted, allowing for reevaluation and adjustments before moving forward.
The Trigger field is where you can specify the primary reason or event prompting the requested change.
In the Changes app, change requests progress through several stages, each representing a specific phase in the change management process. The stages include Draft, Approval, Approved, Rejected, Execution, Hold, Complete, and Closed. For detailed information on each stage please visit our Getting Started with Changes guide.
The Changes app manages change requests, minimizes disruptions, mitigates risks, and promotes continuous improvement within an organization.
