Whiteboards FAQs

Appward's Whiteboards app is a digital platform designed to replicate the functionality of traditional whiteboards, while integrating many of the robust Appward-native features. It integrates with various apps in the Appward ecosystem, facilitating brainstorming, idea visualization, and project management.

Yes, you can categorize your whiteboards by assigning a Type to them, such as “Audit” for an audit-related whiteboard. For more on types, please check out our Using Types guide.

Yes, you can add images to your whiteboard. For more on how to add images to a record, please check out our guide on Appward's file system

You can set the access level to Public for everyone in your organization or members only for specific individuals.

The Status field tracks the progress of a whiteboard, indicating whether it is in Draft, Live, or Published stage. 

A whiteboard  session is considered live when its status is set to Live. This indicates that users are actively collaborating on the whiteboard in real time. 

The integrated editor offers tools like Select/Adjust, Sketch, Line, Polyline, Shape, Pan, Zoom, Show/Hide grid, Insert media and more. Please check out our Getting Started with Whiteboards guide for an in depth list of available tools.

You can add multiple views within the Views sub-tab, enabling you to create additional pages in a whiteboard. This feature helps you organize your ideas more effectively by providing separate spaces for different aspects of your project. 

Members: These are individuals who have access to the whiteboard, allowing them to view, edit, and collaborate on the content.

Live Participants: These are members from your organization who are actively participating in a whiteboard session in real-time.

Draft: The whiteboard is being created but not yet finalized.

Live: The whiteboard is live and actively being used for collaboration.

Published: The whiteboard has been finalized and made public.
